NY is a new haute couture brand from Japan. We focus on timeless and authentic designs, all done in house. The entire creation process from patterning to final sewing is done in house at a single workshop.
Creation/
Every piece of clothing begins with a spark of inspiration ignited by the materials themselves–all aspects of the design flow from there. Each cut and stitch is like a piece of a puzzle, ensuring no fabric is wasted requires keen judgment. Some clothes take dozens of hours to be created, others months–whatever it takes to produce a piece that will resonate with the wearer. Clothing that makes them reconsider the meaning of what we wear.
Meaning//
A piece of clothing is only truly complete when it is worn. The gentle sway of the fabric when walking, the way the material shapes a silhouette–a union that gives life to both the clothes and the wearer. From a person, a piece and a place, a photo is born. Capturing that connection is the joy of fashion photography. This site exists not just for shopping, but as a home to those moments as well.

Every weave, every pattern, every thread tells the story of its maker, one that is known only through touch and feel. Tales of texture that make the heart sing. This collection is a narrative pulled from both past and present to create something entirely new.
NYは日本発の新しいオートクチュールブランドです。私たちは 時代に左右されない普遍的で 本質を大切にしたデザインを追求し、すべてを自社で手がけています。パターン制作から最終的な縫製に至るまで、ものづくりの全ての工程を小さなアトリエで一貫して製作しています。
服ができあがるまで/
わくわくする生地との出会いから始まり デザイン、トアルで型出し、修正をかけ パターンが完成します。生地を無駄なく使うためパズルのように裁断し、精密なプロセスのもと縫製します。１着に数十時間、数カ月かけてできあがる服もあります。
着る人の心を豊かにできるといいなと想い造っています。服という存在を再度考えるきっかけになると嬉しいです。
服の存在//
服は 人が着ることで完成すると思ってます。歩いているときの生地の揺れ、体のカーブに沿うシルエット、人が着ることで服は命をもつことができます。人 服 そしてその場所が重なり、一枚の写真が生まれると思っています。私たちにとって 撮影できるということは とても幸せなことです。お買い物だけでなく 私たちのサイトを見て楽しんでいただけると幸いです。
